TaxiMe Terms and Conditions

 

 1. Introduction

Welcome to TaxiMe, a ridesharing service provided by Oprin Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. By using our app and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before accessing or using the TaxiMe platform.

 

 2. Eligibility

To use TaxiMe, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. By registering and using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

 

 3. User Accounts

- Registration: You must create an account to use the TaxiMe platform. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during the registration process.

- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify TaxiMe immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

 

 4. Services Provided

TaxiMe connects passengers with drivers for transportation services. TaxiMe does not provide transportation services itself; the services are provided by independent third-party drivers. TaxiMe acts as an intermediary to facilitate these services.

 

 5. Booking and Payment

- Booking: All bookings are made through the TaxiMe app. Once a ride is booked, you will receive confirmation, including driver details.

- Payment: Payments for rides are made through the TaxiMe app using the payment method selected during registration. By booking a ride, you authorize TaxiMe to charge the applicable fees to your selected payment method.

 

 6. Cancellation and Refunds

- Passenger Cancellation: You may cancel a ride through the app before the driver arrives. Cancellation fees may apply.

- Driver Cancellation: Drivers may cancel a ride if necessary. If a driver cancels, you will be notified, and another driver may be assigned.

- Refunds: Refunds for cancellations or service issues will be processed according to TaxiMe's refund policy.

 

 7. Health and Safety

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, TaxiMe has implemented health and safety guidelines. Drivers and passengers must adhere to these guidelines, including wearing face coverings, keeping the front seat empty, and staying home if experiencing symptoms. Repeated violations may result in suspension from the platform.

 

 8. User Conduct

Users agree to use the TaxiMe platform responsibly and lawfully. Any behavior that is deemed abusive, discriminatory, or disruptive may result in suspension or termination of your account.

 

 9. Ratings and Feedback

After each ride, passengers are encouraged to rate their driver and provide feedback. TaxiMe uses this information to improve services. All feedback must be honest and provided in good faith.

 

 10. Liability

TaxiMe is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. TaxiMe provides the platform "as is" and disclaims any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

 

 11. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

 

 12. Changes to Terms

TaxiMe reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

 

 13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
